Re the yellow color, sometimes when it went on, particularly on the wet
aft landing, it had a yellow tint. Otherwise, no worries.
Re how I like the products ... I really do. Even if you don't put on the Teak
Fix finish, the teak cleaner is absolutely the best there is. It works as well
as some two part cleaners I'm told, but doesn't harm the gel coat. I use a
squirt bottle. Wet down the area to be cleaned, squirt a bit of cleaner on the
surface and then scrub it with a hand brush. Let it sit for a minute or two
then rinse it off. Actually, sometimes I don't wait, particularly when the
teak is very dirty. I just scrub it then immediately rinse it down.
What really grabbed me is the fact that I had just used West Marine one part
cleaner on all the teak. I decided to get the Cape Anne cleaner just to be
safe ahead of applying the Teak Fix finish, but when I started cleaning with
Cape Anne, so much black dirt came out you would have thought it hadn't been
cleaned in a year! And the teak looked wonderful afterward.
Note that I did no sanding before applying the Teak Fix finish. The grip on
the seats is just about the same with the Teak Fix as it was after cleaning
only.
